The Thompson Condominium

The Thompson Condominium is a new 4-unit building only a block from the U St. metro station.  Lock 7  acquired the site in the summer of 2011 and removed the existing outdated house on the property.  The new building will be a mirror image of the Thomson Flats, which was another 4-unit building Lock 7 completed in early 2011.

Neighborhood Story

The U Street Corridor of northwest DC is a vibrant and eccentric neighborhood with a historic feel. Home to popular jazz music venues and performers through the years, much of the original architecture had been damaged during the Civil Rights riots of the 1960's. But today, you'll find a thriving community with a mix of old and new buildings with lots of character and variety.

The most famous landmark of U Street is the infamous Ben's Chili Bowl, often with lines around the block. Home to countless restaurants, night life hotspots, boutiques and a convenient metro station, there's something for everyone.
